Privacy Policy
The Essign Web application will never gather personally identifiable information.
Essign is marketed for use by students and teachers in the K-12 education system. Many of these students are under 13 years of age, which means this site must adhere to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), enacted by the Federal Trade Commission in 1998.
Through the My Homework feature, students may create login credentials in order to easily access their homework assignments from any location. The signup process for My Homework does not collect any personally identifiable information from the student – not even an e-mail address. The student's selected user name and password are completely anonymous and arbitrary.
Additionally, there are no collabration features between students and other students, teachers, or administrators. Consequently, no other users of Essign will ever see a student's chosen user name. Users are only ever aware of their own credentials.
